This Privacy Policy explains how Pest Fox ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Pest Fox is operated by JR Digital Services Pty Ltd (ABN 15 677 761 787).
1. Information we collect
When you contact us through our website, by phone, or by email, we may collect your name, contact details (phone number, email address), the suburb or address of the property where the pest or termite services are required, and the details of your enquiry.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send a quote, schedule and perform pest and termite services if you book us, deliver written inspection reports (e.g. AS 4349.3-2010 timber pest inspection reports), and follow up after the work has been completed. We do not sell your information to third parties.
3. Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information to our subcontractors (where work is performed by a partner pest manager), to government bodies or local councils where required (for example, biosecurity reporting under the Public and Environmental Health Act 1987 (SA)), and to our insurers if a claim arises. Treatment chemicals used are recorded in compliance with APVMA conditions and SA Health Pest Manager Registration record-keeping requirements.
4. Storage and security
Personal information is stored in our customer relationship management system, hosted in Australia. Reasonable steps are taken to protect this information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on this website as our always-on baseline. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect personal information.
Tracking technologies and analytics. This website also uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to understand how visitors interact with our pages and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. GA4 sets first-party cookies that record an anonymous client identifier, page paths, referrer information, approximate location (city level), device type, and the events listed in our public data schema (page views, form submissions, phone clicks, quote requests, and emergency calls). Where Pest Fox runs paid advertising for this site, we may also load remarketing pixels (Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tag, and/or LinkedIn Insight Tag) via GTM; these set their own cookies and are subject to the policies of the respective providers. Google's handling of analytics data is described in Google's Privacy Policy. To opt out of GA4 tracking on every site that uses it, install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Data retention and deletion requests. Our GA4 property retains user-level and event-level analytics data for 14 months (Google's default), after which it is automatically deleted. Aggregated, non-identifying reports may be retained longer in our internal dashboards. If you would like Pest Fox to delete personal data we hold about you — including any GA4 user identifier associated with your visit, your contact record in our CRM, and any related lead history — email info@pestfox.com.au with the subject line "Data deletion request". We will respond within 30 days, in accordance with our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
6. Access and correction
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@pestfox.com.au.
7. Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at info@pestfox.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
8. Updates
